What People are Saying About us

“During my husband’s illness, Laurie was a steadying force and a fierce advocate for his  dignity. She provided invaluable practical advice for his comfort at home and, when his condition declined, she stepped in at the hospital to ensure his pain was managed effectively when others failed to act.

Laurie’s expertise was vital in navigating the daunting search for hospice care, steering us away from subpar facilities toward quality support. While the medical system often focused solely on directives, Laurie remained focused on the human being. Her heart, kindness, and calming voice made all the difference; I would trust her with my family again in a heartbeat."

“When my mother was navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s in a nursing facility several hours away, I felt a deep sense of helplessness. Despite our frequent phone calls, I struggled to bridge the distance and manage the complex changes she was experiencing, always fearing she might feel abandoned.

Everything changed when I met Laurie. She offered a compassionate, non-judgmental space where I could speak freely and feel truly heard. She helped me reframe my perspective, explaining that Mom was experiencing a profound loss of ability rather than simple forgetfulness. By focusing on empathy, Laurie taught me essential techniques like validating feelings, using gentle redirection, and avoiding overstimulation or arguments.

Laurie is a truly remarkable professional with a kind, loving heart and a wealth of knowledge drawn from her extensive healthcare background. Her guidance provided me with the practical tools and confidence I needed to navigate this journey with grace.”

Laurie is the "Caregiver Whisperer" who brought us invaluable expertise and compassionate guidance. When my father’s needs increased during palliative care, I found myself feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure how to navigate the logistics of caregiving and managing the caregivers and hospice contacts. I realized I didn't want to be his medical manager; I wanted to be his daughter.

Gratefully, we were introduced by a dear confidant to Laurie. From our first visit, she didn’t just offer advice; she offered a path forward.

Laurie spent hours with our family, our primary caregiver and hospice team, anticipating my father’s needs before we even knew to ask. She empowered our existing caregivers with new confidence and provided practical tools.

What sets Laurie apart is her combination of high-level strategy and practical, hands-on solutions:

  • Empowerment: she trained and emboldened our care team to do more.

  • Organization: she provided clear templates for tracking medications and daily needs.

  • Innovation: she brought specialized items, from hand-made calf covers to clever  ingenious 'caregiver handles' for bed pads for preventing bedsores—that transformed his daily comfort.

She has a beautiful, confident, compassionate way of connecting with patients, but she also takes care of the family. She gave me the confidence to honor my father’s wishes and find comfort in our final days together. I truly call her the 'Caregiver Whisperer.' If you are feeling lost in the complexities of caregiving, Laurie is the gift your family needs.

My elderly parents moved in with my husband and I almost 9 years ago. After a year or so of managing things ourselves, it was apparent that outside assistance would be necessary. We needed help. Laurie Womack was recommended to us as a great caregiver who had just become available.

We hired her to help us not only with the day-to-day needs of my parents but also gained someone who could evaluate our entire situation. She saw the big picture. She gave recommendations on how to make life easier and safer for both my parents and for us.

Over time she helped us develop a team of caregivers, as the need grew to be 24/7 care. I wish I could eloquently state how Laurie has impacted our life. She completely changed it for the better. She anticipated changes to come with my parents and had an answer to any situation we faced.

Her experience and knowledge of end-of-life issues was so extensive. Over the 8 years we have known her, she has become family. With her help and guidance, we managed to care for my dad for over two years until he had a terrible fall, broke his hip, and had to be placed in memory care. His dementia had f lared up horribly after his hip surgery.

Then Laurie continued to guide us through about 6 more years of continued in-home care for my mother, until her peaceful passing on December 27, 2025. With Laurie at the helm of our caregiving team, it meant I could sleep. I could leave the house for hours at a time knowing things would be okay. I knew my mom was in great hands and that all the details of her specific needs were documented, organized, and managed in a safe and standardized way. Each caregiver was trained on how to handle my mom’s needs in the exact, same way, so that my mom was without fear, happy, pain-free and at peace. HUGE!
